1968 Pro Touring Camaro

Project Description:

This 68 camaro came to our restoration shop for a racial ProTouring build. Our Speed Shop supplied a dream list of components including a Whipple supercharged LS3 by Wegner Motorsports, and front stub and back half by Art Morrsion. Wheels will be by Forgeline.

Frame Modification

The chassis was modified to allow for exhaust clearance.  We also removed the dash so we could finish the TIG welding of the roll cage.

Sheet Metal & Engine/Transmission Mock Up

Mocking up the front sheet metal along with the engine and transmission combo to ensure everything fits properly before bodywork and paint.

Final Welding of the Rear Panels

During the process of welding on the rear quarters we have begun removing the drip rails.

Art Morrison Back Half Stub Install

Here were removed the driver’s side rear quarter panel, rear panel, and trunk floor. We then installed the Art Morrison rear stub, and trunk floor.  We also mocked up the mini-tubs for fitment.
