     * MSS offers a 5% discount on all AME chassis packages because we can.  People often ask “how can you possibly offer a price less than buying directly from AME?”  The answer is that no one gets a deeper discount from           AME than us, and we pass that discount onto our customers vs paying full retail. 

     * The State of Oregon does not have Sales Tax, and we can pass that savings onto our customers when picking up the chassis from us.

     * Prices increase annually. You may consider purchasing your chassis now versus next year because it will definitely become more expensive. 

Common Chassis Package Questions:

     * Wondering what combination of vehicle performance, engine, transmission, and tire height determine the proper rear axle gear ratio? We have learned the ideal gear ratios through our hands-on experience of hundreds of vehicle combinations and feedback from our customers about their vehicles and chassis packages.

     * What size brakes do I need? What brakes will look the best? We get this question everyday. We will guide you through these questions, and make a brake recommendation based upon vehicle application, and wheel size/style. 

     * I want a manual transmission. I am looking at a Tremec 5 speed or 6 speed but I’m not sure which is best? Based upon our vast experience of logging miles with each of these transmission, we would be happy to make a recommendation for your vehicle application. 

     * A chassis package is a fantastic foundation for an amazing build, but I’m not sure when I will have the time to assemble my car/truck. What does MSS recommend? – We offer a “Body Swap” service where we perform as much or as little of the mating of the body and the chassis as desired. – See our “Body Swap” page for more information. 

     *Does AME offer a “bolt on” (GT-Sport) series chassis for my vehicle? AME offers a variety of bolt on chassis for the more common applications, but also manufactures on-off chassis called “Builder’s Series” chassis that can be made specifically for your vehicle. You may find that some of these Builders Series chassis have already been engineered by AME in the past, and may fit your needs. In extreme examples, we have direct experience with engineering/drawing one-off custom chassis for special vehicles. 

     *I want my classic car or truck to be as reliable and ultimately perform more like a brand new Corvette or Porsche. How can this be achieved? It all starts with using modernized technology and components to achieve just that. We start with the solid foundation of one of our chassis packages. We then match the chassis with a multitude of accessory components like fuel tanks, engine drive kits, and electronic gauges to achieve the dream.
